Instructions on how to access the sessions

Here are the instructions on how to connect to the virtual Conference on Thursday August 13th, Friday August 14th, and beyond.

Please connect to the provided link below with Zoom. Each Zoom call is link to a room on the schedule.

To participate in a conference, a talk, a tutorial or participate in a workshop, connect to the Zoom call corresponding to the Room you want to go in. At the end of that portion, log out, then re-enter another zoom call depending on what you would like to see.

PLEASE PLEASE Use your registered name. The danger of you not being admitted for using a clever name is high!

As soon as you connect you will be put in the waiting room.

Your name will be verified using the registration list before being allowed on the conference.

Virtual Conference Instructions

1. Connect to the zoom call, please connect around 30 minutes before the official start of the event. Use your registration name – you will be verified.

2. On entry you will be directed to a waiting room. Then the host (organizer) will let you in manually by checking your registration name on the official list.

3. Your microphone will be automatically muted.

4. We invite you to keep your camera ON. We want to see you! (Like it would be in a physical location, all together)

5. On top right of your screen you will have view options, choose the one you prefer. – at this point you will be able to see the sponsor slide and all the other participants coming in.

6. The Host will introduce each section of the session.

7. Session BEGINS – All sessions will be recorded.

8. QUESTION PERIOD/EXCHANGE:
In this section you will not be able to unmute yourself. Please have your camera open, it will be more dynamic.

8. TUTORIAL / WORKSHOP:
In this section the speaker and/or chair will share their screen and do his talk. You will be muted.

9. If you have a question, on the participant window you have a blue hand (Raise hand) button

10. Press that button if you have a question. The Host will the ask you to unmute and you will be able to ask your question. The button works as a first come-first serve, the order of peoples having question in the participant box will depend on that. Once your question is answered, press again on the button to lower your hand.

11. You will be able to ask your question via the CHAT Box also. The Host will be able to read them and ask them to the speaker.

12. At the end, our Host will say the final words, and introduce the next portion. At this moment stay in the room or go to another room (meeting – disconnect- reconnect to the desired meeting) to attend the next session.
